She sees everything in fragmented photographs
He waits for the apocolypse
Like a kid outside of the candy store
Before it opens its doors
She chases nuclear bombs with a rusted bucket
Trying to catch them before they fall to earth
Beautiful destruction is too far away for him
Beautiful destruction is all to close for her to bear
The space between them
In the bed they share
Seems miles and miles apart
He sees her as his savior
Crosses in his eyes
She bites down on her bottom lip
Until ruby drops appear
Not understanding why..
She is of no import in her own mind
He is the music in her ears
The stars are always just beyond thier reach
Beautiful destruction is too far away for him
Beautiful destruction is all to close for her to bear

In the bed they share
Seems miles and miles apart
He is brilliant color shining in crowd
She is light grey and brown
Yet they cling to eachother
Love makes them soar
Tey are both frightened that soon they will crash
For the wind that lifts them up
Can crush them on a whim
